The Challenges faced by Existing environment

The OpenText solution portfolio across SAP Equip comprises of 16 software modules, connected to every SAP landscape environment (PoC; Dev; SIT; Pre-Prod; Prod; Disaster Recovery & Training). The landscape consists of approximately 110 virtual machines running on Windows and SQL Servers:

Equip OpenText currently supports the following Business Units within Transport:
Accounts Payable (TSS/Procurement)
Employee Relations (Workplace Conduct and Investigations)
Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) - Sydney Trains
Injury Claims Management (Return to Work)
Health Assessment and Health Monitoring (EH&S)
Safety Health Environmental Management (SHEM)

The current OpenText Content Suite and Vendor Invoice Management (VIM) solutions are currently unstable, with business users experiencing intermittent, unplanned service outages. Several known issues cannot currently be addressed due to dependencies on software patches and bug-fixes delivered in later software releases.

This situation has the combined effect of significantly limiting Transport's ability to achieve optimal business efficiency and productivity gains in critical areas and undermines system reliability across the broader Equip landscape.

The OpenText Remediation Project ais to provide positive benefits for the usage of the OpenText solution, including but not limited to:

Providing a responsive, robust application solution that meets the demands for an existing and growing user base
Providing the platform with the latest functionality from the latest versions offered by the Vendor solution, including the latest functionality for ECM integration in the current landscape and future roadmaps
Providing an out of the box, more intuitive and easier to use smart user interface that can be leveraged by initiatives and business units deploying and coming on board to utilise the new functionality both from the EQUIP and OpenText solutions.
Provides a solution that allows for access controls to protect customer information according to all legal and compliance rules across all channels, brands, and business functions

Solutions Offered

To provide TfNSW with the latest technologies in supplier portals, enhance system-to-system integrations, and improve its user interactions, OpenText will upgrade the existing TfNSW Portal by updating its technology stack.

The stack is upgraded to the latest versions to reduce the limitations and stabilize the application.

Post upgrade, preliminary smoke testing and technical testing will be carried out for the above-mentioned components by the Development Team. This consists of Unit and Integration tests.
Functional testing is carried out once the technical testing activities have been completed and the system is ready to be handed over to the functional team for functional Testing. This consists of functional unit and integration tests that are completed for the below modules and processes utilising the OpenText functionality:
- ECC – FTM, EAM, PTP, PTD, HTR, EHS and others
- CRM
- SRM
Regression testing is carried out once the functional testing activities have been completed and the system is ready to be handed over to the functional team for regression Testing. This consists of regression unit and integration tests that are completed for the below modules and processes utilising the OpenText functionality:
- ECC – FTM, EAM, PTP, PTD, HTR, EHS and others
- CRM
- SRM
